Your F1 survival guide: Practical tips for a seamless F1 Season

(Photo: F1-Singapore.com)

It can get hot and crowded when you’re jostling for the best vantage points, but with a little planning, you can make your adventure totally stress-free.

  • Stay cool and comfortable: Dress for the weather! Wear loose-fitting clothes made from breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. And since you’ll be on your feet a lot, comfortable sneakers are a non-negotiable.
  • Be rain-ready: Singapore's weather can be unpredictable. Pack a small, foldable poncho or a lightweight waterproof jacket to stay dry in case of a sudden downpour.
  • Plan your journey in advance: If you’re driving (in a trusty GetGo😉), do ensure you plan around significant road closures around the Marina Bay area. Drive to a nearby location that’s not affected by the closures and park there, or use your GetGo to get you to the nearest drop-off point before continuing on foot or taking the MRT. Plan to arrive early to beat the crowds and secure a good spot.
  • Stay hydrated and fuelled: Food and drinks inside the circuit can be pricey and come with long queues. Bring a reusable water bottle to take advantage of the free water refill stations, and consider having a meal beforehand.
  • Pack smart: You don't want to be weighed down. Bring a small bag with essentials like a portable fan, sunglasses, a power bank to charge your phone, and a hat or cap.

The F1 Singapore Grand Prix season is more than just a race; it's a city-wide celebration of speed, glamour, and excitement. Whether you're at a free viewing spot, indulging at a restaurant, or going all out with tickets to the Grandstand, there’s truly a way for everyone to be a part of the action.

See you at the finish line, it’s gonna be fast, loud, and way too fun to miss!
