Spin classes have absolutely taken over Singapore over the last few years, and for good reason: they’re fun. I can’t tell you what it is, but something about pedalling as hard as you can in a room filled with other sweaty tryhards makes it a lot easier to get into than standard gym routine, while burning just as many calories. Whether you are a seasoned rider or someone who thinks a "sprint" is just a speedwalk to catch the bus, there’s a saddle waiting for you somewhere.

Walking into Ally feels more “spa” than “spa-rtan”. The aesthetic is all peach tones and brass accents. Is it possible to fall in love with a changing room? Because between the Aesop products and the Dyson hair dryers, I almost forgot I was there to work out.

The class itself is a different story. It’s intense! The playlist had me pushing harder than I ever thought possible, while UV-C-filtered air kept everything feeling fresh despite the heat. After you finish dripping in sweat, you can even grab a signature smoothie at their in-house coffee bar, Neighborhood. And if you somehow decide that you haven’t sweat enough, there’s an in-house sauna waiting for you.

02 Absolute Cycle

(Photo: Frasers Property)

If you’re nervous about clipping in for the first time, Absolute Cycle is your safe haven. Their Foundation 15 classes are a godsend because their coaches go through the absolute basics of spin cycling in a mere 15 minutes, before giving you the rest of the hour to truly push your limits.

I remember my first time at The Star Vista outlet. My legs were shaking. But the instructor was so encouraging that I actually made it through the full 45 minutes without sitting down once! With multiple locations islandwide, it is incredibly easy to find a class that fits your schedule.

📍 Address: 1 Vista Exchange Green, #02-25/26, The Star Vista, Singapore 138617
Opening hours: Mon to Thurs, 7:30am – 9:30pm | Fridays, 7:30am – 9pm | Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

03 Ground Zero

(Photo: Yellow Pages Singapore)

Do you like your workouts with a side of grit? Ground Zero at Odeon Towers is where the "Ride or Die" mantra truly lives. The riders here are dedicated, the music is heavy, and the lighting lends the classes here a distinct Tron flavour. Maybe this is what all those light cycle guys do to practice between deathmatches.

The choreography here is legendary. You will be pulsing, sprinting, and doing lead-heavy climbs all while trying to stay on the beat. It is a full-body experience that leaves you exhausted but strangely empowered. That being said, be prepared for a little shouting at this one.

📍 Address: 331 North Bridge Road, #01-02, Odeon Towers, Singapore 188720
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 9:30pm | Saturday and Sunday, 7:30am – 6:30pm

04 Revolution

(Photo: The Fit Guide)

For those who just want to party, Revolution is the answer. Every session feels like a night out at the club, but without the hangover the next morning.

If your biggest spin cycle fear is having to brave a full hour of certified gym music (iykyk), Revolution’s theme nights are practically made for you. Have you ever spun to a 2010s Throwback or a Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West playlist? It makes the 45 minutes fly by. Since they have spots in Orchard and Bugis, it’s incredibly easy to make a whole morning of it once you’ve corralled a few friends to spin along with you.

📍 Address: 520 North Bridge Rd, #03–01, Singapore 188742
Opening hours: Mon to Fri, 4:30pm – 10pm | Saturdays, 7:30am – 6pm | Sundays, 7:30am – 7:30pm

05 XYCO Studio

(Photo: XYCO)

Nestled in a quiet corner of Martin Road, XYCO Studio feels incredibly inclusive because the instructors really focus on form instead of just shouting numbers at you while you struggle to breathe. If you want to turn your spin cycle gains into tangible benefits for your outdoor cycling form, their Method 50 classes are especially helpful. Questions? Of course, it’s one thing when people say “just ask”, but XYCO is one of the few places where you actually feel comfortable to, well… just ask!

Pet lovers, rejoice! I once saw a golden retriever just chilling by the reception while I was dying on the bike, and seeing that happy face was the only thing that kept me pedalling through the final heavy climb.

Opening hours: Mon to Fri, 7am – 9pm | Sat and Sun, 8am – 5pm

06 CRNK

(Photo: Classpass)

CRNK is absolutely incredible for performativemaxxing. After finishing a particularly brutal 50-minute ride at their New Bahru studio, you can head straight to their in-house cafe for a Strawberry Matcha because treating yourself is just as important as the workout itself, right? And because it’s New Bahru, there’ll be no shortage of cold plunge pools and artisan craft studios for your fancy.

Focused on creating a safe space for all spin cyclists, the sessions here are designed to be a musical experience first and a workout second. You won’t have to keep up with your neighbour; you just have to keep moving for yourself. Plus, because CRNK is on Classpass, GetGoers will be able to try this out with our exclusive free credits deal.

07 Sync Cycles

Looking for a local community vibe that feels warm and welcoming? Sync Cycle is the perfect neighbourhood spot for those who live in the North or East and want a high-energy workout without the intimidating "glam" factor of the CBD studios.

At the Yio Chu Kang branch, the instructors are famously friendly and they always make sure to check on the new faces before the lights go down. The music starts and your legs just move and you forget you were tired five minutes ago because the energy is just that high. Pure, positive vibes from start to finish.

📍 Address: 92 Yio Chu Kang Road, Singapore 545572
