Did you know that this year, we’ll be getting a $100 top-up of our ActiveSG credits? This is why my favourite holiday is the National Day. It’s when I get to watch extravagant fireworks and the National Day Parade and listen to catchy NDP songs that I unabashedly sing out loud. This year’s national day celebration feels even sweeter with the extra ActiveSG credits. Here’s everything you need to know about them. 🥰

What are ActiveSG credits?

ActiveSG is a national sports membership programme open and completely free for all Singaporeans. As part of SG60, all ActiveSG users will receive a $100 credit top-up.

If you don’t already have an ActiveSG account, head over to the ActiveSG website to create one. All new accounts will be automatically given $100 ActiveSG credits. In addition to the $100 top-up, that means starting an account right now will fetch you $200 worth of credits! 😮

As part of the SG60 celebration, all ActiveSG credits will be extended to 31 December 2026. Remember to make at least 1 booking in 2026 so that you can roll over your remaining credits to 2027. You won’t be able to do this if you don’t use the credits for at least 1 booking in 2026. If you’re not sure what to spend them on, read on!

01 • ActiveSG gym passes

There are 28 ActiveSG gyms scattered across Singapore for you to get a good workout. Make no mistake — just because the entry fee is way cheaper than commercial gyms, it doesn’t mean they’re not well-equipped.

You can pay per-entry rates of $2.50 for adults or $1.50 for students and senior citizens. Alternatively, you can also get a monthly pass if you’re a long-term user and want to save in the long run. Check out this guide for the full rundown of ActiveSG gym rates.

Personally, I love the convenience of ActiveSG gyms. Even though I have a commercial gym membership, ActiveSG gyms let me work out with friends who don’t go to the same gym as I do.

02 • ActiveSG swim passes

Need a fun way to beat the heat in Singapore? Have a pool day at one of the 24 ActiveSG swimming complexes across the island! Unleash your inner Joseph Schooling with lightning laps at competitive pools, or take your fun day out up a notch at a feature pool. Feature pools come complete with both standard pools and exhilarating waterslides and colourful water playgrounds.

You can purchase a monthly swimming pass for $10/month (adults) or $5/month (children and senior citizens). Per-entry rates can be found here.

03 • Book an ActiveSG facility

Spice up your week with a friendly match among friends or family! Have a casual game or challenge your squad to a mini tournament at the different ActiveSG facilities available for booking.

There’s a variety of sports to choose from. Fall back to classics like badminton or soccer, or try a new sport like petanque, pickleball, or hockey.

Peak hour slots are from 6pm to 10pm on weekdays, or 7am to 10pm on weekends and public holidays. Balloting for these slots opens 14 days in advance from 12am to 11:59pm.

Non-peak hour slots can be booked up to 12 days in advance, at 12pm. All slots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Refer to this guide for the rates of different facilities.

04 • Join an ActiveSG programme

When I first tried pilates a while ago, I felt sore in muscles I never even knew existed in my body. That’s when I realised there were so many more ways to exercise than I ever imagined. Through ActiveSG, you can browse a loooong list of fitness programmes and sessions, where coaches guide you through a new way to keep fit.

In addition to popular activities like pilates or zumba, you’ll also find rarer ones like K-pop dancing and aqua aerobics, and even belly dancing. I’m definitely trying that last one someday.

You can also pick up a new martial art like judo or kickboxing, and sharpen your skills in your preferred sport like squash or water polo. There are so many options to choose from — the only thing you need to do is to make time.

Note that your ActiveSG credits can only offset up to 30% of the programme fees, while you’ll have to cover the rest. The only exception is programmes hosted by Active Health, which are 100% redeemable with ActiveSG credits.

I hope you’ve found this guide useful!

Happy exercising,

Amanda 💙
