As I’m writing this, Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé are slowly defrosting for December. But before we whisk you into a world of Christmas lights and ho-ho-holiday cheer, we still have one more month of fun to experience. To celebrate the last four weeks until supermarkets start blasting Jingle Bells 24/7, I’ve compiled all the best events happening in November. Remember to check them out before Santa rolls into town!
01 • The Makers Ground 🧵 (31 Oct & 1 Nov)

My name is Amanda, I work at GetGo, and I have an addiction to window shopping.
Last year, I went to The Makers Ground and didn’t spend a single cent. After 2 hours of eyeing beautifully crafted pots, sampling homemade snacks, and touching as many fabrics as I could grab, I left the convention centre empty-handed. With over 40 local brands and crafters boothing at this year’s event, I promised myself to buy at least 3 items (or I’m banning myself from leaving Expo) 😤 Drastic, sure, but supporting local businesses is that serious to me.
📍 Address: Singapore Expo, Foyer 2, Level 1 & 2, 1 Expo Drive, Singapore 486150
⏰ Event hours: 10am – 6pm
💸 Cost of entry: Free

02 • Singapore Dog Festival 🐶 (23 Oct – 1 Nov)

The fluffiest event of the year is here! Sentosa is opening its proverbial doors to all canine friends, big and small, for some fun in the sun. Dogs will be able to roughhouse with their buddies at Pip & Friends’ Playscape, chase each other in the Zoomie Zone, or splash their worries away at the Water Play Area. While the canines are touching grass, owners can relax in the shade with food from participating vendors, or get a tarot card reading for their furry babies. Don’t forget to leash up and muzzle your dogs when required!
📍 Address: Palawan Green (next to Beach Station Terminal), Siloso Beach Walk, Sentosa
⏰ Event hours: Fri to Sun, 3pm – 9pm | Mon to Thur, 4pm – 9pm
💸 Cost of entry: Adults ($8), Children ($5), Multi Pass ($18) | Family packages available

03 • Singapore Coffee Week ☕️ (5 Nov – 8 Nov)

I have a colleague who drinks 4 cups of coffee a day, so when I told them about this free event, they were obviously ecstatic. If I were them, I’d probably be excited too; the chance to win a free coffee machine or a $1,888 cash prize is too good to miss out on. All you need to do is collect 8 stickers when you purchase from participating cafés to be eligible for the Grand Prize Lucky Draw. Winning 1k+ by supporting coffee businesses? Maybe I need to start getting into beans too…
📍 Address: Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Level 1, Hall C, 10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018956
⏰ Event hours: 10am – 8pm
💸 Cost of entry: Free

04 • Singapore Cat Festival 🐱 (7 Nov & 8 Nov)

…Is this the fluffiest event of the year? Uh oh, looks like the long-contested battle between felines and canines has made November its war ground.
No matter. Regardless of which side you’re on, everyone can admit that both breeds of pet owners need a place to connect with like-minded people. This year, cat lovers can enjoy interactive photo zones, a marketplace with 100+ exhibitors, an artist alley, a cat show with international judges, and a good old-fashioned adoption drive. Watch out for their cat-alogue of F&B vendors as the festival draws near 🍽️
📍 Address: Singapore Expo, Hall 6, 1 Expo Drive, Singapore 486150
⏰ Event hours: 10am – 8pm
💸 Cost of entry: 1-day ($7), 2-day ($15) | Children 12 and below enter free

05 • Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) 📷 (16 Oct – 30 Nov)

They say photos are a window to the past, so what better place to experience history than at the Singapore International Photography Festival? For the sake of time, I’ll only mention the events at the main venue. Shop-House is featuring 5 stunning exhibitions, with themes ranging from local perspectives to international photography. These brief snapshots of time are invaluable, so I urge everyone to check them out when they can. Personally, I’m eyeing the FEM: Woman, Lives, and Korean photo books exhibit 🇰🇷🙆♀️

Halloween may be ending, but creepy-crawlies never retire. This November, horror fans will be converging at Cathay Cineleisure to celebrate all things strange and unexplainable. Peruse a range of oddities at The Curiosity Market, or soak up the moody live performances. If you’re willing to drop some extra cash, there’s a blood-curdling lineup of horror movies and haunted house experiences lined up just for you 👁️

07 • Singapore Writers Festival 📝 (13 Nov – 22 Nov)

To go, or not to go. That is the question… for you guys, not me; I’m definitely going 😜
Listen y’all, literacy is at an all-time low, so using your Culture Pass to attend FREE writing programmes is a no-brainer (all-brainer?). Not to mention, most of them have Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, and Chinese translators. So even if your grandma can’t speak English, she can choose a programme with live translation and both of you can become big-brained together 🧠
Personally, I’m gunning for the “Where Have You Been, Loca?” monster panel, IYKYK 🐺
📍 Address: Venue locations vary
⏰ Event hours: Programme timings vary
💸 Cost of entry: Regular ($30), Youth ($15) | Culture Pass eligible

08 • The Model Car Show 🚗 (21 Nov & 22 Nov)

If you need to get an early Christmas gift for your car-obsessed cousin, this is an event to bookmark.
Assuming you missed out on the F1 hype, this is the next largest celebration of motor vehicles in Singapore. From diecast cars to RC equipment, this event is a goldmine for families and seasoned collectors. Kids can go test out the newest racing simulators or battle it out at the Beyblade tournament while parents inspect the car exhibitions. Not a cellphone in sight, just people living in the moment ✨
…Okay, maybe a few cellphones in sight.
📍 Address: *SCAPE, Level 1 to 3, 2 Orchard Link, Singapore 237978
⏰ Event hours: 10am – 9pm
