The Mid-Autumn festival is upon us! I love the exhilaration of seeing parks light up with electrifying sparklers, a beautiful glow of lanterns, and the radiant smiles of celebrating families. All that however, pales in comparison to my excitement for mooncakes. Rich and dense traditional fillings wrapped in a chewy crust, it's a delicacy that will never get old.
More than just a sweet treat, the mooncake symbolises harmony and family reunion. Traditionally shared amongst the family, this practice has always brought me a sense of warmth and comfort which I’ve eventually come to associate with the pastry. As I mature, I’m slowly realising the sweetness of the mooncake is not just its taste, but in the act of sharing and appreciating it with your loved ones.
So asking the important questions, where can one get the best mooncakes in Singapore? If you’re having a hard time deciding, you’ve come to the right place. After doing some extensive research on this very important topic, I’ve shortlisted 10 best places you can buy your mooncakes from in 2025.
01 • Raffles Hotel Singapore

Needing no introduction, the legendary Raffles Hotel mooncakes are classy and luxurious. From classic flavours to original creations, they are the premium pick. You can choose from an alluring selection of snow-skin ($97-108 for 8) or traditionally-baked mooncakes ($97-99 for 4).
