Ever heard about the Climate Vouchers? Launched in 2020, these government rebates are handed out to encourage the purchase of eco-friendly home appliances. As of the time of writing, each HDB household has $400 of Climate Vouchers to spend at approved retailers until December 2027.
If this is your first time hearing about them, there’s no shame — I was quite clueless myself until I did some research. In this guide, I’ve shared everything you need to know about the Climate Vouchers, so read on. 💡
Climate Vouchers 2025: How to redeem your vouchers

If you’ve redeemed CDC vouchers before, this won’t be your first rodeo. Follow these simple steps to redeem your Climate Vouchers:
- Visit go.gov.sg/cdcv, and tap on Climate Vouchers ($100) or Climate Vouchers ($300). These two types of vouchers are functionally identical, so just pick whichever one you need.
- Log in to your Singpass account.
- Receive the link to your Climate Vouchers via SMS.
Please note that your SMS should come from “gov.sg” and will contain a link to your Climate Vouchers. With this link, you can access your Climate Vouchers at any time without having to log in. The link is shareable with friends and family, and you’ll even be able to print out your vouchers for Grandma and Grandpa.
Every HDB household is eligible for $400 in Climate Vouchers, so if you’re unable to redeem, please check to see if anyone in your family has already used them. If you still face issues with your vouchers, reach out to the People’s Association Contact Centre at 6225 5322.
What to buy with your Climate Vouchers

It’s time to shop eco-friendly! The government has a directory of approved retailers to use your Climate Vouchers at, but note that not all products at these retailers are eligible. I’ve compiled a list of eligible products, and some great places to buy them using your Climate Vouchers in Singapore.
01 • Get a better air conditioner

As the heat ramps up, there’s bound to be more days when the siren song of the air con remote becomes too powerful to ignore. Luckily, your new Climate Vouchers are eligible for air conditioners with 5 National Environmental Agency (NEA) ticks. The NEA rates products based on their energy efficiency, and products with more ticks cost less to operate in the long run. So, by buying an approved product, you’ll be saving the earth and your wallet!
- Best Denki (offers an additional $300 discount when paying with climate vouchers)
- Aircon Materials Asia
- Harvey Norman (offers up to $700 discount on eligible air conditioners)
- Courts (offers up to $400 discount when paying with climate vouchers)
- Mega Discount Store
02 • Buy an energy-efficient fan

There are 2 main types of fans: Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) fans. DC fans typically consume 70% less energy than AC fans, so getting one is a great way to bring your energy consumption down. Plus, if you talk into a standing DC fan, it’ll be just as good as an AC fan at giving you the Darth Vader voice.
Note, however, that DC fans with non-LED lights are not eligible for Climate Vouchers.
03 • How about an eco-friendly water heater?

Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWHs) use the surrounding air to heat water. This means that they’ll take longer to heat up water compared to electrical or gas water heaters, which apply heat directly. However, if you’re willing to wait a little longer for those toasty hot showers, you’ll find your new heater consuming 75% less electricity than its regular counterpart.
04 • Lighten up

LED lights last longer, require less maintenance, and consume less electricity. And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, LED lights with 2 or more NEA ticks are eligible to be purchased with Climate Vouchers. So if you’ve busted a bulb, now’s a better time than ever to switch to LED.
05 • A new refrigerator

As I get older, I’ve begun to understand the value of a good fridge. These days, I can’t help but be impressed whenever I go to a friend’s house and find out that they have an energy-efficient beast keeping their ice cream cool. Thanks to the Climate Vouchers, you’ll be one step closer to getting a 3-tick or above fridge that’ll be a conversation starter when you have visitors.
06 • Have that solo shower concert, guilt-free

Saving water is another way to keep your emissions down. If you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive way to do so, many new taps on the market focus on lower water consumption. You’d be surprised at how much water a good shower head can save in the long run. Look out for taps and mixers with 3 NEA ticks or more at these stores.
07 • Make your clothes and your water bill spotless

Owing to how much water they can use, the standards for washing machines are just a little bit higher. Since 2014, the NEA tick system has been made stricter, so washing machines purchased before then with 4 ticks are now rated to have 2 ticks under the new system. But if you’re looking to save money long-term on your water bills, you won’t regret using your Climate Vouchers on a 4-tick washing machine. Water-efficient washing machines also mean less time spent waiting for your best fits to dry, so it’s safe to say that they’re a total win-win.
08 • Get a throne fit for a king

The average toilet flush uses 6 to 9 litres of water. I try not to think about what goes on inside my toilet as much as humanly possible, but I do care about the environmental effects of my actions. That’s why a 3-tick toilet that flushes well while using less water is a winner in my books. Check out these bathroom supply stores.
