Working from home sounds ideal… until the laundry pile starts judging you and your sixth coffee goes cold three minutes after you made it. At some point, the kitchen table just ain’t cutting it anymore.

Singapore's coworking scene has quietly grown into one of the most varied in Asia. There's something for every kind of worker here: the freelancer who needs a quiet corner to crunch through a deadline, the creative who works better surrounded by other creatives, the remote worker who just wants reliable Wi-Fi and decent coffee. I've spent time at quite a few of these spaces, some days chasing a deep-focus sprint, other days just needing a change of scenery that isn't another café. Thus, behold: some of my favourite places to cowork, plus some recs my coworkers swear by.

01 • The Hive

(Photo: The Hive Carpenter)

The Hive Carpenter is a six-floor building in the CBD and the flagship of one of Singapore's most recognisable coworking networks. I've gone up to the rooftop café on the sixth floor more than once just to reset my brain mid-afternoon. The Marina Bay views are killer, and the pandan latte from the in-house barista is worth a trip on its own. I keep thinking about it even on days I'm not there.

While there isn’t a single queen bee, the hive sports 4 locations across the island (Carpenter Street, North Bridge Road, Lavender, and Tanjong Pagar), all with consistent quality and the same warm, unfussy atmosphere that regulars keep coming back for. Members get access to regular events, from professional workshops to social hours. Recommended for solo workers who want to build connections without forcing it.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including 36 Carpenter Street, Singapore 059915
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm
🌐 Website: thehive.sg
💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $275/month · Dedicated desk from $600/month

02. Crane

(Photo: We Are Crane)

If The Hive leans cool and professional, Crane leans warm and creative. It's tucked into a cluster of restored shophouses, with an identity is built around the idea that your workspace should do more than host your laptop. The calendar runs pottery workshops, creative panels, and wellness sessions. I'll be honest: the first time I heard "wellness sessions at a coworking space", I rolled my eyes a little. Then I saw how packed they were at the Joo Chiat location and reconsidered. Call me easy to impress.

Crane sports three locations across the island (Kim Yam Road, Shenton Way, and Orchard), and subscriptions start at $88 a month, which makes it one of the more accessible options in the city.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including 432 Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore 427647
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 10pm | Sat and Sun, 9am – 6pm

💵 Pricing: Subscription from $88 a month

03. JustCo

(Photo: JustCo Global)

JustCo is the coworking option you recommend to someone who doesn't want to think too hard about the choice. Consistent quality across multiple locations is a blessing when your schedule pulls you to different parts of the city on different days. Tanjong Pagar on Monday, Marina Square on Thursday, one membership for all of it.

The spaces are modern and have what you need: soundproofed phone booths, ergonomic chairs, and meeting rooms on demand. Good for freelancers who occasionally need a professional-looking space to meet clients without committing to a fixed desk. You probably won't have a favourite corner here, but you'll get the work done.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including Marina Square and Raffles Quay
Opening hours: Varies by location

💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $280/month

04. WeWork

(Photo: WeWork)

I know, I know. WeWork has had its share of headlines. But in Singapore, the spaces hold up. Free-flow coffee, ergonomic workstations, skyline views depending on the floor, and a reliably lively atmosphere. The price point is higher than most options on this list, and whether that's worth it depends a lot on whether you travel for work. One membership covers WeWork spaces in hundreds of cities worldwide (Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo), and if you've ever spent an afternoon hunting for somewhere decent to work in an unfamiliar city, you'll appreciate that more than you expect.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including Anson Road, Beach Road, and City Hall
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm; 24/7 access on certain tiers
🌐 Website: wework.com/en-GB/l/singapore
💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $374/month, day pass from $60/day

05. The Work Boulevard

(Photo: The Work Boulevard)

This one is easy to recommend to freelancers who want their workspace to feel considered. Three CBD locations: Collyer Quay with proper water views and a coffee bar by Common Man Coffee Roasters, Tanjong Pagar with a creative-leaning energy, and Raffles Place for a more urban feel. Wherever you’re at, you’ll be greeted by nice interiors and a more quiet vibe.

Day passes start at $30, so it's easy to try before committing.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including Collyer Quay and Tanjong Pagar
Opening hours: Varies by location

💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $300/month, day pass from $30/day

06. The Great Room

(Photo: The Great Room)

Seven Singapore locations, all with the same hotel-lobby energy. The interiors are polished, the service is attentive, and the calm of the space is worth something when you need to look like you've got it together. If you're meeting a client and want the room to do some of the work for you, this is the one.

Day passes start at $70, which is steep for a drop-in. Membership gives you 24/7 access across all locations, which is when the value proposition starts to make more sense.

📍 Address: Multiple locations including One George Street and Ngee Ann City
Opening hours: 24/7 for dedicated desk members; check individual locations for walk-in hours
🌐 Website: thegreatroom.co
💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $750/month, day pass from $70/day

07. Paperwork (National Design Centre)

(Photo: FlySpaces)

This is the one I'd send any creative freelancer to without hesitation. Housed on the third floor of the National Design Centre in Bugis, Paperwork sits right in the middle of Singapore's design community. The building is a hub for design organisations, events, and studios. Inside there's a materials resource library that's actually useful (not just decorative shelving), a hammock corner, and a dedicated focus zone.

The community skews design, branding, and the arts. If that's your world, being surrounded by people who speak the same professional language makes a quiet but real difference to how the workday feels. I've noticed I think better in rooms where the people around me are making things too.

📍 Address: 111 Middle Road, #03-01, National Design Centre, Singapore 188969
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
🌐 Website: paperwork.asia
💵 Pricing: Hot desk from $200/month, day pass from $45/day

08. Trehaus

(Photo: Vulcan Post)

What if working parents didn't have to choose between childcare and a proper office? That's the whole deal at Trehaus. The space is built around an ECDA-certified preschool and childcare centre at Funan Mall, with a separate business club just steps away. Drop the kids off, head to your desk, and work worry free. Parents with infants have a crèche option too.

It sounds almost too convenient to be true, but it exists, it works, and I'm a little baffled it took this long for someone to build it.

📍 Address: 109 North Bridge Road, #07-21, Funan Mall, Singapore 179097
Opening hours: Mon to Fri, 7am – 7pm | Sat and Sun, 9am – 6pm
📞 Contact: 9843 8077
🌐 Website: trehauscowork.com
💵 Pricing: Flexi work from $350/month

09. Gather Cowork

(Photo: City Nomads)

Gather Cowork solves a problem that rarely gets addressed: what do you do with your dog on a workday? It's one of the very few pet-friendly coworking spaces in Singapore, near Robertson Quay. Your dog gets a spot on the floor, you get a proper desk, lounge access, and a meeting room that's included in the membership, not charged as an add-on.

The vibe here is smaller and more personal than the multi-location chains. If you've ever tried to concentrate while worrying about a dog alone at hom e, you'll understand immediately why this matters.

📍 Address: 22 Martin Road, Level 3, Singapore 239058
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
📞 Contact: 6736 7222

10. The Workshop

(Photo: The Workshop)

Some people just want a desk, reliable internet, and the ability to come and go at 2am without explaining themselves. The Workshop is exactly that. 24/7 access, flexi-desks from $200 a month, and practical amenities that bigger chains don't always bother with: parcel drop-offs, prayer rooms, nursing rooms. No rooftop café. No wellness programming. Just a clean, functional space that gets out of your way, which is sometimes exactly what you need.

📍 Address: Multiple locations across Singapore
Opening hours: 24/7
🌐 Website: theworkshop.sg
💵 Pricing: Flexi-desk from $260/month

11. N9 Offices

(Photo: N9 Offices)

Looking for a coworking space outside of the CBD? With locations in Pasir Ris, Bedok, and Woodlands, N9 Offices is one of the few suburban coworking spaces in Singapore with properly considered interiors. Not just a few desks pushed into an HDB commercial unit, but an actual designed environment with personalised service. For freelancers who have no real reason to commute to the CBD, this removes the excuse.

📍 Address: Multiple locations across Singapore
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
🌐 Website: n9offices.com.sg
💵 Pricing: Hotdesk from $249/month

See you on the road,

Amanda 💙
