Nobody warned me how addictive Greek food could be. My first encounter here was a casual lunch that somehow stretched well past 3pm. Warm pita, three different dips, a plate of chargrilled octopus that kept disappearing faster than we could order more. I left sunburned from the alfresco seating and completely full.
Since then, I've made it my business to find every Greek spot in Singapore, from a cosy condo-front spot in Bukit Timah to one of the most celebrated Greek restaurants in the world, now right here at Marina Bay Sands. There's more than you'd expect, both in quantity and variety.
01 • ALATI

Alati’s blue-and-white facade breaks up the shophouse row along Amoy Street like a postcard from Santorini that got redirected to Telok Ayer. ALATI is a CBD lunch and dinner spot built around Cycladic cuisine, the cooking tradition from an archipelago of islands that arcs southeast from the Greek mainland. The kitchen brings in much of its produce from the Aegean Sea, and the menu reflects that specific focus rather than casting a wide Mediterranean net.
I went on a Friday evening, squeezed between tables of office crews and couples. The Taramosalata has a creamy, briny depth that keeps you reaching for more pita. On the other side of the dip plate, the smoky Melitzanosalata, blended from eggplant and walnuts, is the kind of thing I'd eat with a spoon if no one was watching. Order the chargrilled octopus. It has just enough char without losing tenderness, which is harder to get right than most restaurants make it look. Book ahead for dinner, especially on weekends.

02 • Zorba The Greek Taverna

A riverside seat, something cold to drink, and a plate of grilled food arriving while the sun goes down over the Singapore River. Zorba makes this formula feel effortless. It's Singapore's only Greek restaurant sitting directly on the river, with a Santorini-blue exterior, outdoor seating, pet-friendly policies, and easy, unhurried pace that all contribute to easy evenings here.
The food is comforting and unfussy. The kalamari is thick-cut and well-battered, not the papery kind that goes limp the moment you pick it up. The grilled sea bass is simply seasoned and lets the fish do the work. Zorba also opens as a daytime café, so if you're in Clarke Quay for a long brunch or a late morning coffee by the water, it works for that too.
📍 Address: Block A ORA 1, 3A River Valley Road, #01-02, Clarke Quay, Singapore 179020

03 • BAKALAKI Greek Taverna

There's a particular kind of restaurant energy that BAKALAKI does very well. Lively, communal, and just on the right side of noisy. The River Valley address draws a mix of expats and regulars who've clearly been a few times, all eating family-style from shared platters.
The Feta Saganaki is a reliable opener: pan-fried with a golden crust, soft inside, simple and good. The lamb chops are herb-seasoned and cooked over high heat, with a proper char on the outside and tenderness all the way through. The Moussaka layers eggplant, minced meat, and béchamel in the way you'd hope it would in a place like this.

04 • Hapiha Mediterranean Taverna

Not all great Greek food lives in a stylish restaurant. Hapiha started as a hawker stall at Beauty World Food Centre, where Albanian chef Klevis Shima quietly built a following for his MSG-free Mediterranean cooking. The stall graduated into its own space at Ridgewood Condominium in mid-2025, a condo-front setup accessible to the public via the Ridgewood Close entrance.
It's cosy and unpretentious, the kind of place where the food is the whole point. The lamb kebab is juicy, well-spiced, and not overdone. The halloumi kebab comes off the grill with a good char outside and a soft, chewy centre. My personal pick? The pita and hummus. The pita is freshly made and warm, and the hummus is blended with tahini, lemon, and garlic at a ratio that actually makes you stop and pay attention. Excellent value for money, and worth the drive to Bukit Timah any day.
📍 Address: Ridgewood Condominium, 5 Ridgewood Close, #01-G1, Singapore 276696

05 • Blu Kouzina

Singapore's most established Greek restaurant turned 15 this year. Founded by Effie Tsakiris in 2010, Blu Kouzina now has three outlets across the island (Dempsey Hill, Siglap, and Sentosa), with the Dempsey Hill location remaining the one most people default to when they want to make a real day of it.
The space is distinctive. Two Mycenaean lion sculptures flank the entrance, decorative Meander patterns line the walls, and the interior weaves Greek mythology into Singapore's colonial heritage. Once you’re inside, the Moussaka is properly made, with a béchamel that isn't an afterthought. The Spanakopita is crispy and generous with its spinach-and-feta filling. The olive oil from the Tsakiris family's own estate in Greece can be tasted throughout the menu and can be bought on the way out.
📍 Address: 10 Dempsey Road, #01-20, Singapore 247700

06 • Mykonos on the Bay

Mykonos’ Sentosa digs make any meal here look straight out of a postcard. Sitting right on the waterfront at Quayside Isle, surrounded by boats and a breeze that makes you want to stay for dessert, then coffee, then one more round of dessert.
The furniture comes directly from Greece in classic blue and white, and the atmosphere is relaxed without effort. Start with the Mykonos Dip Platter, which brings tzatzika, taramosalata, and melitzanosalata with warm pita alongside. The Giaourtlou, a minced lamb skewer served with tomato sauce, Greek yoghurt, and salad, is a better dish than the description prepares you for. The baklava here is rolled rather than layered, served with a scoop of fior di latte ice cream, and lighter than the traditional version. A clean, satisfying end to the meal.
📍 Address: Quayside Isle, 31 Ocean Way, #01-10, Sentosa Cove, Singapore 098375
⏰ Opening hours: Mon to Wed, Fri 12pm – 3pm, 6pm – 10.30pm | Thu, 6pm – 10:30pm | Sat to Sun, 12pm – 10.30pm

07 • Estiatorio Milos

If you follow the fine dining world even loosely, Milos is a name you'll recognise. Founded by chef Costas Spiliadis in Montreal in 1979, it has outlets in New York, London, Athens, and Dubai. The Marina Bay Sands opening in 2024 marked its first location anywhere in Asia.
The space announces itself from the entrance: Pendelikon marble sourced from the same Athenian quarries used to build the Parthenon, a cylindrical portico echoing the windmills of the Cycladic islands, and a central open seafood market where you walk past fish and shellfish flown in daily from the Aegean before you're seated. It's a considered piece of theatre, and it sets the right expectations. The Milos Special, a tower of crispy zucchini and eggplant with Kefalograviera cheese and tzatziki, is one of those dishes that earns its reputation. Order it regardless of what else you're having. The Lobster Pasta Athenian-Style is rich and generous. The wine list runs to 350 to 400 labels, more than half of them Greek. Like some of the best things in life, you’ll want to break out your Sunday best for this.
📍 Address: The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue, #B1-48, Singapore 018956
⏰ Opening hours: Mon to Thu, 11.30am – 2.30pm, 5pm – 10:30pm | Fri, 11.30am – 2.30pm, 5pm – 11pm | Sat, 11.30am – 3pm, 5pm – 11pm | Sun, 11.30am – 3pm, 5pm – 10.30pm
