If you’ve ever stumbled through Suntec City’s five towers trying to find your way in the maze of retail stores, you might have found a hidden restaurant gem or two tucked away in a corner. But in a place as big as Suntec, there are places even I haven’t been to before. To make things easier for y’all, I compiled a list of lesser-known and popular eateries in the area. Don’t read this on an empty stomach!

They say the more we get together, the happier we’ll be, and getting together is nothing but easy with 2Gather.
Birthday celebrations? You can count on them. Reunion with old friends? Handled more carefully than fine china. A team outing with over 30 people? 2Gather can accommodate your group and more. Their Peranakan Braised Pork ($18.90) and Thai Boat Noodles ($12.90/$15.90) are customer favourites, but with over 50 dishes in their restaurant arsenal, you’re guaranteed to never run out of delectable options.

02 • Butahage
Hokkaido’s renowned butadon (pork bowl) restaurant opened its flagship outlet in Suntec three years ago, and it’s been racking up 4 and 5-star reviews ever since.
With affordable prices, speedy service, and pork cuts that melt in your mouth, it’s not hard to see why it’s still doing well to this day. Their classic Obihiro Meibutsu Butadon ($11.80/$15.80) is both filling and tasty, but if you’re feeling like tempura instead of pork, their Hokkaido Tendon ($16.80) is nothing to sneeze at.

Would you believe me if I said we’ve got our own mini European market in Suntec?
At Marché, you’re given free rein to explore and order from Swiss-inspired, market-style vendors. The rows upon rows of fresh produce, accompanied by the rustic wooden interior design, really feel like you’re stepping through a portal into an Alpine village. Order a steamy hot plate of Rösti with sour cream ($13.90) if you want the full Swiss experience, or skip lunch and go straight to dessert with a Sweet Fruit Crepe ($16.70).

04 • Mamma Mia Trattoria E Caffè
I’ll admit, I was a little sceptical when my friend introduced me to Mamma Mia. Doesn’t Singapore have enough casual-dining Italian restaurants already? But once I left the restaurant, I had been reborn as a Mamma Mia fan (ABBA would be proud).
First of all, the service? On point. They were lovely and accommodating to us every step of the way. Second of all, the prices? Affordable af, which every Singaporean loves. Third, the food? It was pretty freakin’ good, and served piping hot right from the pan. The prawns in my friend’s Spaghetti with Brown-Butter Prawn & Pink Sauce ($18.80) were especially fresh.🦐
🍽️ What I ate here: The Linguine Aglio Olio ($13.90), which wasn’t super spicy but had wonderful flavour. Even though the portion size was perfect, I was still hungry for more 😫. The server also offered to grate cheese on top of my pasta, yummers!

05 • Noci Bakehouse
If you haven’t been on Instagram in a hot sec, you probably wouldn’t know that Noci Bakehouse has been taking foodies by storm.
From black sesame and butter salt bread ($7) to savoury bagels, this bakehouse is every bread lover’s dream. Although Noci is a Korean brand, many of their menu items deviate from those of a typical Korean store. I mean, how many Korean bakeries out there sell Spring Onion Cream Cheese Bagels ($7) and Bulgogi Bagel Sandwiches ($14) on the same menu? If you’re hunting for an exotic pastry, or just looking for a simple piece of Salt Bread ($4), Noci Bakehouse gotchu covered.
🍽️ What I ate here: Their Tiramisu Cake Cup ($10.50) is to die for. I should know because I was wolfing mine down and almost choked. If you’re having this, remember to savour it slowly to avoid any accidents.😅

Their menu may be small, but their love for rabbits is anything but.
This unassuming and minimalist dessert cafe has captured taste buds far and wide with their premium matcha, ice cream, and mochi selection. Try their famous Mochi Ice Cream ($7+) and Mochi Waffle ($8.80), then wash it down with a ceremonial-grade Strawberry Uji Matcha Latte ($9.30/$10.30). Need something extra cute for Instagram? Good restaurants are a dime a dozen, but what about a good restaurant for rainy days?
Onggii’s soup and stew sets are a certified rainy-day ✨luxury✨ to feast on while it's pouring outside. Served hot alongside neatly arranged side dishes, their meals aren’t just aesthetically pleasing, but also the definition of comforting food for the soul. The only problem is that there isn’t a window for me to melancholically look out from, so I can pretend to be a K-Drama actress.
🍽️ What I ate here: I normally get the spicy Beef Soft Tofu Stew ($19.90), but my tummy was hurting (from all the delicious food I’ve been eating), so I ended up getting a slow-cooked chicken Dak Gomtang ($15.90) that warmed me to the bone.

I will never get tired of Thai food, and you won’t either when you eat at Sanook.
Their No. 1 dish, the Steamed Sea Bass ($28.90), is unbelievably tender and flavourful, so I get it every time I’m there (it also comes in a really cute fish-shaped hotplate). Their Green Chicken Curry ($9.90) is a great choice as well, with a generous amount of chicken in the dish. Service is incredibly fast, so it's also a good spot for anyone looking to grab a quick lunch. If you decide to dine in, know that portion sizes are big and sharing is recommended, so bring your makan kakis with you to elevate your dining experience.🫂

10 • Japanese Hamburg Steak TOMI (Don Don Donki)
My curveball of a recommendation might have surprised some of you, but to my real foodies out there, you know this is the real deal.
Their speciality hamburg, which often sells out by lunchtime, is something I have to buy when I’m in Suntec. Grilled first and finished off with a blowtorch, Don Don Donki’s wafu hamburg steak is in a league of its own. Add some egg, cheese, curry, or all three if you’re not satisfied with just the steak. Everyone should try it once, and if it's not for you, then that means more for me. A win-win scenario for sure.🤤
