As the signature restaurant of Paradox Singapore, Ellenborough Market Cafe has its work cut out for it (serving up food worthy of one of Singapore’s only urban resorts ain’t easy!). Right now, GetGoers can feast for half the price with a massive 50% discount on lunch and dinner buffets. It’s the perfect excuse to indulge in their famous Peranakan classics like their signature Ayam Buah Keluak and Durian Pengat without burning a hole in your wallet.

It's the perfect spot for a casual, hearty meal that hits all the right comfort food notes. Just make sure the other tables don’t catch wind of the 10% GetGoer exclusive discount to keep them from shooting too many jealous looks.

03 • So Lemak

(Photo: the.fat.guide)

When it comes to keeping Singapore’s hawker culture alive, you’ll scarcely find anyone as motivated as Shanice Lim. This Gen Z chef has been making headlines for swapping her chef whites at the 3-Michelin-starred Restaurant Zén for a hawker apron to pursue her passion for traditional local cuisine.

But So Lemak doesn’t just look good on a screen. When I gave this stall a try, I was taken aback by the rich, full-bodied taste of the rice, and how it perfectly complemented the savouriness of the dried prawn paste. This is Nasi Lemak that any aunty would be proud to have whipped up.

Interestingly, So Lemak is one of the few hawkers in Singapore that serves Ayam Berempah, so obviously we had to get in on this. GetGoers itching to sink their teeth into this extra-indulgent Malaysian classic can get 25% off the stall’s exclusive GetGo bundle — 2 Ayam Berempah Nasi Lemak sets, along with an extra plate of Har Cheong wings. So bring a friend and a big appetite.

04 • TAG Espresso

(Photo: Daniel Food Diary)

Full disclosure: when it comes to coffee, I’m an absolute pleb. But after trying out some of TAG’s self-proclaimed “most expressive coffee in Singapore”, even I was able to understand why this home-grown brand was able to capture the hearts of the Orchard’s office dwellers. My “Crispy and Fruity” americano ($6) had a tart acidity that gave way to a fruity aftertaste (grapefruit, I’m told).

GetGoers who’re looking for a new way to obtain their caffeine fix will be pleased to know that they’re eligible for 10% off all drinks at TAG, no minimum spend required. But if you have the time, you’d be missing out if you don’t also treat yourself to the store’s selection of bites. During my meal there, I was practically locked in a trance of alternating sips of coffee with bites of 5-spice Signature Chicken Wings ($15).

05 • Amps Tea

(Photo: Eatbook)

You never know when a good GetDeal is lurking just around the corner. Amps Tea has a whopping 12 branches across Singapore, each one serving up traditionally-inspired teas. Ever since their 10% off deal for GetGoers dropped, I’ve been slowly making my way through Amps’ entire menu whenever I happen across one of their stalls. And while there’s no accounting for taste, my personal favourite is the Triple Peach Season Tea ($6.20). Made with real peach, the tea contains hints of jasmine that prevent the fruit flavour from being too overpowering for me.

06 • Cowpresso coffee roasters

(Photo: Cowpresso)

Cowpresso Coffee Roasters follows in Singapore’s great tradition of bovine-themed eateries. Udders, One Fattened Calf, Waa Cow, I could go on all day. What sets it apart from its other cowlike contemporaries, however, is its commitment to creating a mighty fine cup of joe. This cafe offers specialty coffees from a global selection of fair tride farmers, and even offers a selection of masterclasses for the nitty-gritty on coffee like olfaction training

Luckily, if Lorong Kilat is just a bit too out of the way, there’s still an easy way to get your hands on Cowpresso’s expansive bean library: their online storefront. Thanks to their exclusive promo for GetGo users, you can help yourself to 10% off any bag of beans priced at $30 or below. Among other types of beans, this deal includes their seasonal Holiday Beans blend, which features a festive contrast of orange and chocolate notes.

Matching the vibe, their brunch spread deserves to be savoured bite by bite. The 6 Letter Brunch is a prime example of that. Featuring a crispy rosti as the star of the show, it's complemented by a plethora of supporting ingredients — sunny side up, smoked salmon, and smashed avocado that creates kaleidoscopes of textures and flavours, plus fruits and salad that act as a refreshing palette cleanser.

08 • Anna’s Sourdough

(Photo adapted from: Eatbook)

Sourdough is truly a slept-on gem of an ingredient that NEEDs more recognition in Singapore. It's crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, flavourful enough to be eaten alone, but also a great base to complement other ingredients, plus it's good for gut health. We certainly need more Sourdough propaganda and Anna’s Sourdough is leading the charge.

For first timers, getting their High Tea Set for 2 is a no brainer. With its vast assortment of goodies, it features sourdough’s versatility at its best — from simple slices with good old butter to treats like sourdough scones, toasties or turnovers. Alternatively, their sourdough sandwiches are a heartier option. The OG Eggs Benedict proves that a breakfast classic can be totally elevated with just a slice of quality bread.

Psst… and while you’re there, it's the perfect opportunity to explore the newly opened Punggol Digital District!
